Addicted to music from day 1, Love the whole underground sound/scene. Started spinning in 2005 but only begun really getting after it in 2009 and usually dabble with the house party/small event scene and enjoy every minute of it. Most of my sets consist of Dubstep, Dubstep, Dubstep, and more Dubstep, oh and my new love of Fidget House and Hardstyle but started off with the the genre that got me hooked in the scene, DnB. I guess it's just about anything underground but I def want to expand my horizons with other genres. Been here on House-Mixes for a minute now and have ran into some really Gr8 people with some amazing talent. A veteran of the New England dance scene Mike Manson has been playing in New England for nearly 15 years. Starting out in the rave scene in early 1996 and continuing to become one of the residents of the legendary Municipal Cafe. Mike was a resident for 6 years playing every Friday night and his selection of music had refined into a style all his own. Many opportunities arose from this residence and teaming up with Spiritual Emporium, Muck Crew, and Columns of Knowledge as a promoter and a DJ earlier on helped his DJ career move forward. Once established as a professional DJ in New England his adventure into the club scene began. Playing at night clubs and commercial events such as Sunset Session by Room 960, The Ware House, Koji Yakatori, Bocca Rossa, Sullys Pub, Club Therapy, and Room 960. A six month residence with Koji hosting an event called “ I <3 Koji “ and playing top dance tracks every Friday Night. His current residence for Bocca Rossa hosting an event called “ Go Deep “ and " Ibiza Lounge " playing every Friday and Saturday Night. Both venues are located in Downtown Hartford and Mike can be found somewhere in this little city every weekend. Hosting a podcast starting in early 2010 on podOmatic.com called " Mike Manson's The Cast ". It’s a popular podcast and is featured daily and is one of the top 200 house music podcasts on the site containing an estimated 250,000 podcast users. Mike can also be found on Itunes in the Podcast Store and all of his sets are free to download. Most noted for his " Half an Hour " episodes and " Live at the Event " pre-recorded sets. Starting a new venture with online live radio on an up and coming show called Boom-Box Radio with friends and fellow local DJs is the next step in Mikes online djing future. Although Mike has been DJing for so long he is still learning from each show and that can be seen by the technologies he has begun to utilize and how threcreativity in the music he plays now is effected. Converting to Traktor Scratch Pro and utilizing Native Instruments Kontrol X1 and Maschine to bring his creativity to new heights. With the digital age of DJing in full swing Mike has made sure to keep with the times and trends of his craft. Specializing in House, Tech House, and Minimal House He's sure to bring a great vibe to any show he's involved in.

I have joined this website as I have a keen interest in Hard Dance music and as a result have got into mixing as a hobby, I will be uploading various mixes in various styles onto the site.I first started to get into rave music with the north east scene and generally the Makina (Spanish Techno) sound, this was the main style of music I mixed and listened to for the first few years. Hard House is also a style I've always liked from when I got into rave music but have never really had one favourite artist, anything I like the sound of I go for.I then got into UK Hardcore in a big way when then likes of Recon, Squad-E and Gammer came about and generally bought tunes around the start of that era, from labels such as Next Generation, Blatant Beats and Raverbaby, although I've always been a fan of Quosh. As for more recently I have tended to buy UK Hardcore from new artists, if at all.After UK Hardcore I got into the Hard Bounce style a little, but got bored quite quickly. After a year stopped buying tracks.The next genre I found I enjoyed was new Hardstyle from such artists as Activator, D-Block And S-Te-Fan and Showtek, although I've found the genre has now become quite stale.Until recently I bought mostly Hard Dance in its various forms but still have a soft spot for the New Makina sound. I would say i'm 99.9% digital these days.With regards to Makina I've been getting into it quite a lot again and have bought a decent amount from Japan, who now seem to be the guys who make the best stuff.
